This week on American Forum we talk to Citizenship University Founder and CEO Eric Liu, who spends his time thinking and writing about how citizens can best be engaged in democracy—and encouraging Americans to join in the governance of our society. Liu was a speechwriter and policy advisor for President Clinton, and he is also executive director of the Aspen Institute’s Citizenship and American Identity Program. His books include two bestsellers, The Gardens of Democracy and The True Patriot. His latest work is You’re More Powerful Than You Think: A Citizen’s Guide to Making Change Happen.
