About the project

Bringing together diverse stakeholders to make democracies more resilient and effective

Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

This project will discern and utilize tools that can make the U.S. president – and leaders in other democracies – more effective and contribute to an America that can better compete and cooperate around the world.

It will illustrate how democracies are strengthened by bringing together diverse stakeholders to achieve tangible gains on tough challenges which stakeholders share interests in resolving.

The project aims to develop methodologies and practical yet bold approaches to resolve key challenges relying upon a substantial and diverse range of insights from across the political landscape, leveraging public and private sector expertise, data, stakeholder analysis, and relationship networks.

Challenge areas which this methodology will explore and test include:

  • How to develop sustainable critical mineral supply chains necessary for a successful US economic and security base
  • How to gain the political architecture for a safer and more secure digital landscape
  • How to forge new and strengthen existing partnerships focused on low-cost routes for improving maternal and child health
